Case Studies
With delivery of over one hundred projects, I have a wealth of experience to share with you. Here are a few examples to illustrate my work. Contact me to discuss them in more depth or find out about other contracts I have successfully delivered.
Violent Crime Reduction
I worked with a newly-formed Violence Reduction Unit to provide it with a great start. With a focus on partnership consensus and involvement, I supported the development of their strategy from evidence collection to sign-off.
Prison Drug Treatment Services
I supported the establishment of a new treatment option for opioid users in prison. The programme of work included project management support, the development of operational procedures and staff training.
Personalised Support for Domestic Abuse
Many years of experience with domestic abuse services allowed me to work with a partnership steering group to develop a service providing a personalised service for domestic abuse victims.
Bid Writing & Securing Budgets
A social enterprise commissioned me to help them successfully secure funding and then initiate a service to reduce alcohol-related harm and hospital admissions. I drew on my skills and experience with bid writing, project management and partnership working.
Domestic Abuse Project Evaluation
I worked with Bradford council to evaluate their domestic abuse services and incorporate national effective practice into their delivery model. I facilitated the development of an action plan to launch the new approach.
Partnership Development Support
Effective partnership working is the bedrock of successful delivery. I have worked with partnerships for over 20 years and enjoy the challenge of aligning the thinking of different organisations.
Project Management & Creation of a Safeguarding Strategy
Partners in Wakefield needed expert writing capacity to produce a new Safeguarding Strategy with full stakeholder engagement.
Mentoring & ‘Critical Friend’ Support for Domestic Abuse
Domestic abuse needs a knowledgeable and well-coordinated approach to ensure the right service delivery. I have worked on over twenty domestic abuse projects, so this is one of my areas of deep expertise.
Serious Violence Duty Support
The Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts (PCSC) Act 2022 provided new duties regarding Serious Violence for Local Authorities, Police, Probation, Integrated Care Boards, Youth Offending Services and Fire and Rescue.
Development of a Sustainability & Change Plan
Serious violence is delivered in a complex partnership and funding landscape, dependent upon many partners and both grant and core funding.
Development & Use of a MARAC Case Audit toolkit
Repeat victims of domestic abuse are at high risk of serious injury and death. Local partnerships work together to identify and respond to these cases through the MARAC (Multi-Agency Risk-Assessment Conference) process.
